​Benevolence Children Care and Community Skilling Center (BCCCSC) is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to restoring and empowering vulnerable populations in Mparo, Southwestern Uganda. We combine professional social work practices with deep, firsthand empathy for those facing extreme poverty.

1. Provide access to quality education and basic life necessities for vulnerable children.

3. Actively advocate for and defend the human rights of vulnerable individuals, particularly children and women.

4. Nurture and raise a generation that is responsible, morally upright, and transformed.

​​Our Story: A Foundation of Personal Sacrifice

Growing up in a three-room hut in Mparo, Muhoozi Obed faced extreme poverty and lost his mother to HIV/AIDS at age twelve. Left as an orphan heading his household, he repaired shoes and sold fruit to survive.

His life transformed during Senior 3–Senior 4 when Stella Zaimi (COO of the Illinois Back Pain Institute, USA) stepped in through Mountain Children's Ministry (MCM) to sponsor his education. Beyond tuition, Stella provided holistic care covering medical needs, daily essentials, and ongoing mentorship enabling Obed to complete secondary school and earn his Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration in 2018.

Following graduation, Obed gained vital field experience serving vulnerable children and families across leading organizations including The Kabale Shepherd Center (TKSC), Compassion International, Go-Africa-Father's Family, and Kigezi Women in Development (KWID).

Armed with years of professional social work expertise, Obed returned to his roots in late 2025. Using his personal savings and Stella's inspiring model of care, he established BCCCSC to break the cycle of poverty for the next generation in Mparo.

​​The Reality: Why We Are Needed in Mparo

In Mparo Town Council, urgent socioeconomic challenges demand structured community intervention:

• Youth Unemployment: 50% of youth (ages 18–30) are currently not in education, employment, or training.

• Economic Struggle: 44.2% of households remain trapped in subsistence living.

• Health Insecurity: Only 36 individuals in the entire Town Council have health insurance, leaving families vulnerable to medical crises.

• Education Barriers: Children frequently drop out due to parental loss from chronic illness, extreme poverty, or climate disasters like severe floods and droughts.

• Severe Resource Shortages: Demand far exceeds current capacity. While 36 youth are enrolled for Tailoring and 17 for Hairdressing, we operate with only 2 manual sewing machines and no salon tools. Though we successfully trained 49 youth in soap and jelly production in December 2025, hundreds remain on waiting lists.

• Infrastructure Deficit: BCCCSC currently operates from a cramped home office and temporary rented rooms, making permanent site acquisition an urgent priority.

 

Strategic Pillars of Impact

1. OVC Care & Educational Protection (Orphans & Vulnerable Children)

• Tuition & Scholastic Support: Providing school supplies, tuition assistance, and mentorship to keep vulnerable children enrolled in school.

• Mparo Children’s Haven: Working toward constructing a permanent sanctuary offering shelter, nutrition, protection, and trauma-informed psychosocial care.

2. Vocational Skilling & Comprehensive Life Skills Hub

Aligned with Uganda's Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) standards, we equip out-of-school youth, young mothers, and community members (ages 18–36+) with practical trades and essential life skills:

• Market-Relevant Trades: Tailoring & Fashion Design, Hairdressing & Cosmetology, Bakery & Confectionery, Electrical Installation & Construction, and Home-Based Chemical Production (Liquid Soap & Vaseline).

• ​Life Skills Training Breakdown:

• • Children: Foundation building in hygiene, character development, child rights awareness, and emotional resilience.

  • Youth: Financial literacy, entrepreneurship, communication, conflict management, and reproductive health education.

  • Parents & Adults: Household budgeting, positive parenting, stress management, and community leadership development.

3. Climate-Resilient Agriculture ("Farming God’s Way")

• Sustainable Farming: Training households in climate-resilient farming techniques such as zero-tillage and 100% mulch coverage ("God’s Blanket").

• Soil Conservation: Preserving topsoil and restoring productivity to safeguard crop yields against drought and heavy rainfall.

4. Health, Dignity & Family Care

• Menstrual Health Management (MHM): Distribution of dignity kits and reproductive health education to prevent absenteeism among young female trainees and students.

• Chronic Illness Support: Holistic care, guidance, and advocacy for families affected by chronic conditions, including HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, and Asthma.

 

Governance & Accountability

• Inclusive & Non-Political: Open to all community members regardless of tribe, background, or religious affiliation.

• Experienced Leadership: Governed by a 9-member Management Committee chaired by Rtd. Rev. Edward Tibaitu.

• Financial Integrity: Managed under strict triple-signatory protocols for all banking operations and subjected to annual independent audits.

 

Critical Needs & Partnership Opportunities

• Land & Facility Construction: Funding land acquisition and construction to transition from rented premises to a permanent Children’s Home & Skilling Institute.

• Vocational Tools & Equipment: Donations of sewing machines, salon equipment, baking ovens, construction tools, and electrical training boards.

• Trainer & Operational Support: Stipend support for TVET instructors as well as Life Skills facilitators to deliver foundational mentorship across our programs.

• Sponsorship & Holistic Care: Educational sponsorships for orphans, alongside funding for scholastic materials, life skills modules, and nutritional support.
